The explosion was reported to the Spanish National Police Headquarters at 13:15 local time (12:15 GMT), activating an operation at the embassy building. The Spanish National Police said the victim had no serious injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The Spanish National Police stated that, for the moment, they have no information about the origin of the letter or the type of substance that caused the deflagration.
