For several years, there has been a problem concerning the allocation of a permanent venue for this annual event. With the entrance to the Town Hall, Cité administrative, blocked, the Municipal Council was delayed. There were major disruptions to public transport and roads were blocked. Following a warning from Jeanne Barseghian, Mayor of Strasbourg, to call in the police and CRS, the fairground workers stopped the demonstration and cleared the entrance to the Cité Administrative.
