Gaza Man Rebuilds Bombed Bakery - Gaza Strip

Men work at the site of Haifa Bakery in Khan Yunis, Gaza Strip, on November 6, 2025. Founded in 2018 by Tarek Oweida’s father, the bakery was flattened on July 1, 2024, by Israeli air strikes that killed him and destroyed the family home. Once producing bread daily for displaced families through cooperation with the World Food Programme (WFP), the bakery is now being rebuilt by Oweida and local volunteers.
