US: Massive 37-Vehicle Pileup Shuts Down Interstate 81 in LaFayette, New York

A massive 37-vehicle pileup caused by snow and limited visibility shut down Interstate 81 in LaFayette, south of Syracuse on Thursday, January 15, sending seven people to local hospitals. State police closed the highway in both directions for several hours to allow emergency responders to reach the scene of the chain-reaction crash.
