After hours of effort, the dog was safely pulled out around 11 p.m., as students cheered and wrapped it in a warm jacket.

A maritime patrol vessel happened to be navigating nearby and quickly noticed the distress. The crew immediately maneuvered closer and used equipment to bring the frightened dog safely aboard.

China: Dog Rescued After Being Trapped in Elevator in Anhui

On August 28, 2025, a shocking accident occurred in a residential building in Anhui Province, eastern China. As the elevator doors opened, a pet dog entered, but its elderly owner either deliberately stayed behind or failed to get on in time, leaving the dog alone inside as the doors closed. As the elevator descended, the dog's leash became caught in the door, pulling it upward and leaving the dog dangling from the ceiling in a dangerous position. A man and woman waiting on the next floor quickly rescued the dog when the elevator doors opened.

On August 21, 2025, in Hunan, China, a group of men rescued a struggling Old English Sheepdog from drowning in a river. The dog, trapped against a steep riverbank, thrashed in panic as bystanders watched anxiously. Russian ballistic missile strike on Izium in Kharkiv region

IZIUM, UKRAINE - FEBRUARY 4, 2025 - A rescuer and an SAR dog explore the premises of an administrative building damaged by a Russian ballistic missile attack, Izium, Kharkiv region, northeastern Ukraine. At around 11:40 on Tuesday, February 4, Russian troops launched an Iskander ballistic missile at central Izium, a town in Kharkiv region. The attack killed five people, including a pregnant woman. As of 16:00, 55 people were injured, 24 of whom were admitted to hospital. The strike partially destroyed the administrative building of the Izium Town Council, damaged another administrative office, and shattered the windows of three residential apartment buildings. Response effort to Russian missile attack on medical facility in Zaporizhzhia

ZAPORIZHZHIA, UKRAINE - DECEMBER 11, 2024 - Rescuers and a canine handler with a SAR dog examine the ruins of a private clinic destroyed by a Russian missile strike during a search and rescue operation, Zaporizhzhia, southeastern Ukraine. On Tuesday, December 10, Russian forces launched an Iskander-M missile at a clinic in Zaporizhzhia. Medical staff and patients were inside the facility at the time of the strike. The attack killed at least 11 people and injured 22 people.
