On June 23, 2025, in Hubei, central China, a man used an unusual method to catch a mouse hiding in a dorm drain. He poured bottles of water into the pipe until a small soaked mouse crawled out, shivering. The man quickly grabbed it by the ears as it wriggled in panic. He explained that the dorm door had been left open, allowing the rodent to sneak in and hide. Chinese viewers praised his persistence — and bravery.

New Komeito's Sawa found dead in dorm of heart failure

TOKYO, Japan - File photo taken in August 2000 shows New Komeito party lawmaker Tamaki Sawa, who was found dead early Aug. 9 in a parliamentary dormitory in Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward, apparently of heart failure. Because there were no signs of trespassers and no suicide note, the police said they believe she collapsed suddenly. (Kyodo)
