Spent N-fuel arrives in Aomori

ROKKASHOMURA, Japan - Spent nuclear fuel rods contained in the cylindrical vessels are being transferred to a storage pool at the nuclear fuel reprocessing plant of Japan Nuclear Fuel Ltd. in the village of Rokkasho, Aomori Prefecture, on Oct. 22. The spent fuel, from a nuclear power station run by Kyushu Electric Power Co. in Kagoshima Prefecture, arrived earlir in the day aboard the 4,913-ton Rokuei Maru.
