Japanese emigrants to Dominican Republic stress suffering in court

TOKYO, Japan - Kurato Kimura (2nd from L, front), who leads Japanese emigrant plaintiffs, and other plaintiffs meet reporters in Tokyo on Oct. 17 after a final hearing of their lawsuit against the Japanese government at the Tokyo District Court over their emigration to the Dominican Republic. They said they did not receive the rich farmland promised by the Japanese government and had to endure many hardships after moving there.
