On September 11, 2025, a small poodle named Niuniu was captured on video in Guangdong, China, happily retrieving discarded bottles from the roadside for its owner. With a wagging tail, the diligent dog reportedly collected enough plastic bottles to fill nearly an entire woven bag.

France: Street Sweeper Fire Leads to Explosion at Paris Cemetery

On Wednesday morning, October 15, at around 10:40 am, a fire broke out inside Montparnasse Cemetery (14th arrondissement) in Paris, sending a plume of black smoke into the sky. While the fire was quickly brought under control and no injuries were reported, the incident was significant enough that some witnesses described hearing an explosion.

On Monday, September 29, Storm Gabrielle brought torrential rain to Spain, causing widespread flooding across the Valencia, Catalonia, and Aragon regions. The intense rainfall, which reached as much as 100 liters per square meter (4 inches) in a few hours, required police to rescue several people from their vehicles. The flooding was severe enough to cause the rivers to burst their banks in Aldaia (Valencia) and in Cuarte de Huerva (Zaragoza) late on Sunday, September 28.
