Amazon to open N.Y. office in ex-department store bldg.

Amazon.com Inc. said Aug. 18, 2020, it has acquired the landmark building, which used to be the department store's flagship outlet, and plans to add 2,000 new jobs there as part of a nationwide expansion of its corporate offices and hiring.
