PARIS, France - Shoko Yamaguchi, the Paris bureau chief of Japan's Sankei Shimbun newspaper, is awarded the French decoration Officier of the National Order of the Legion of Honor by a press secretary of the Foreign Affairs Ministry in Paris on Jan. 27, 2010, becoming the first Japanese journalist to receive the fourth rank of the order's five degrees.
