Prototype sound-absorbing material mixed with Mitsubishi Chemical's XAI

XAI, the ultra-fine fiber proposed by Mitsubishi Chemical as a sound-absorbing material, is less than one-tenth the fineness of ordinary fibersfor sound-absorbing materials. By mixing 10% of XAI with conventional materials such as felt, it is possible to achieve the same sound absorption performance with about half the weight of conventional materials alone.
