US: Nor’easter Batters North Carolina’s Outer Banks With Wind and High Waves

The first nor'easter of this season brought strong winds, heavy rain, and high waves to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. A coastal flood watch was in effect for all of Dare County on Thursday, September 24, while the closure of NC 12 between the Basnight Bridge and Rodanthe cut off access to Hatteras Island.
