On March 26, 2025, in Hetian, located in northwestern China’s Xinjiang province, a video captured a powerful sandstorm blanketing the city in a dense yellow haze. Shot from a high-rise building at 6:58 p.m., the footage shows near-zero visibility. The storm was so intense that the roads, cars, and surroundings were barely distinguishable.
