KOFU, Japan - Photo taken and provided by Satoru Otomo, a dentist and amateur astronomer of Takane in Yamanashi Prefecture, shows a comet discovered earlier by two other amateur Japanese astronomers. Takane used a 25-centimeter aperture reflector telescope and captured the Kudo-Fujikawa comet with its tail just visible after a five-minute exposure from 5:26 a.m. Dec. 30, 2002.
