TOKYO, Japan - Daihatsu Motor Co. on Nov. 27 launched its Tanto minivehicle (photo) in Japan. The Tanto, which means very wide and many in Italian, is powered by a 660 cc three-cylinder engine and is available with three-speed or four-speed automatic transmission.

Nissan launches remodeled Primera on domestic market

TOKYO, Japan - Nissan Motor Co. on Jan. 30 begins marketing in Japan its new generation of Primera passenger cars. The new Primera Wagon (R) and Sedan (L) come with either 2000 cc or 2500 cc engines and feature conventional four-speed automatic transmission, or continuously variable transmission, including one which also enables manual transmission-use driving.
