Nippon Steel, Sumitomo Metal to begin talks on alliance

TOKYO, Japan - Nippon Steel Corp. Vice President Makoto Kihara (L) and Sumitomo Metal Industries Ltd. Vice President Masaaki Tachibana speak at a media briefing in Tokyo on Dec. 12.
