The people at demonstrations against Czech PM Andrej Babis (ANO) protest against free elections, while anti-Communist protesters in 1989 called for them, President Milos Zeman said today, on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, when visiting the Vysocina Region. He does not expect Babis's cabinet to fall in the next 2.5 years and says its opponents would have to wait for the changes until the next elections. People have been protesting against Babis since April, mainly because of the Capi hnizdo case of a suspected EU subsidy fraud, in which Babis is among the prosecuted. The last demonstration against Babis took place in Prague's Letna Park on Sunday and some 283,000 people joined it. They blame Babis for being in a conflict of interest and are concerned about the independence of the judiciary. (CTK Photo/Lubos Pavlicek)
