China: Cat Attempts to Hunt Fish Beneath Frozen Pond in Shaanxi

On January 7, 2026, in Shaanxi, China, a video showed a pond completely covered with ice. A black cat ran back and forth across the frozen surface. Below the ice, small fish swam slowly, drawing the cat’s attention. The cat repeatedly chased their movement but could not reach them through the ice.

Tokyo's temperature drops below zero
