Alloy Giken Automates Brazing Process Cleaning

Interest in the SJ series ofgeneral-purpose lathes manufactured by Taiwan's Yu-Chia Industrial Group and imported and sold by Takamatsu Machinery is slowly increasing. Takamatsu Machinery has been dealing with the product since 2008, when it formed a partnership with Tomoka Jitsugyo. The reason for the interest is that the machine is priced at 3.3 million yen (excluding consumption tax), which is less expensive than domestically produced machines, yet it has the necessary rigidity and functions. Toho Gas' "Air Ratio Visualization System" for Monitoring Combustion Conditions

Toho Gas Co., Ltd. has developed the "Air Ratio Visualization System," a system to monitor the combustion condition of gas burners for industrial furnaces used in heat treatment and aluminum melting by measuring the difference between the theoretical required amount of air and the amount of air during combustion. The system can be done at low cost, employing general-purpose products such as oxygen sensors for automobile exhaust gas and EMS controllers for information transmission equipment. The system will be used to strengthen services as a solution for energy saving and efficient maintenance. The system has been narrowed down to the oxygen concentration measurement function, making it easier to use general-purpose products. MM Catalyst, an auxiliary catalyst device developed by Haiba Iron Works in collaboration with Nichidai Filter

Haiba Iron Works (Kakegawa City, Shizuoka Prefecture), in cooperation with Nichidai Filter (Ujitawara Town, Kyoto Prefecture), a stainless steel diffusion bonding (sintering) company, has developed an auxiliary catalytic converter "MM catalyst" that shortens the activation time of the main catalyst for exhaust gas purification by about 40%. The MM catalyst is manufactured by loading precious metals onto a structure made of sintered stainless steel wire mesh. Compared to the honeycomb structure that is commonly used in catalysts, the reaction space is more complex and the contact efficiency of exhaust gas is improved. Noboru Ishizawa, director of the technology department at Haiba Iron Works, said, "We will further refine our technology through repeated tests using actual machines (for practical use).
