China: Pregnant Mare Rescued From Deep Ditch in Inner Mongolia

Residents and herders in Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia, China, rescued a heavily pregnant mare after it fell into a 1.5-meter-deep ditch on April 30. Rescuers secured the animal with wide bandages and used a tractor and forklift to lift her to safety. The operation required repeated adjustments to avoid injuring the mare.
