Japan's Prince Akishino awarded honorary degree in Thailand

BANGKOK, Thailand - Japanese Prince Akishino receives an honorary doctorate in fisheries science from King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang in Bangkok on March 22. The president of the prestigious tertiary institution said in a congratulatory message that Prince Akishino has made great contributions to fishery biology, natural science and ichthyology.

He visited Thailand more than 10 times to study birds and fish in the region.
