In its 61st edition, the annual book fair is a major international forum for publishers, authors and illustrators of children's literature to exchange ideas, forge bonds and select partners. Over 1,500 exhibitors from about 100 countries and regions attend this year's fair. Chinese exhibitors are deeply involved in the exhibition, hosting several activities to accelerate Chinese children's books to go overseas

Chinese illustrator Chen Xunru received the Golden Apple award for her artwork in the book of Bull King Festival at the ongoing 29th edition of the BIB, which lasts from Oct. 4 till Dec. 3. This year, the international BIB jury judged works by 275 illustrators from 36 countries and region
