Zebras? No, wagyu cattle with body coated in insect-repelling test

An experiment is underway in the Yamagata Prefecture town of Oguni, home to Yonezawa wagyu beef cattle, to prevent damage from blood-sucking insects such as gadfly and cattle fly by coating the body in a “zebra-like pattern.” The prefectural government, which is leading the project, is considering putting it into practical use after finding the coating “effective to a certain extent.”Date: October 2021 (shooting day unknown)Place: Oguni town, Yamagata Prefecture
