Jiang showed her best form in the women's 49kg category, starting with a lift of 94kg in the snatch to beat 93kg lifted by Hou. After lifting 113kg on her second clean and jerk to win gold, Jiang tried to set a new world record of 120kg on her final attempt, but to no avail. OSAKA, Japan - China's Ding Meiyuan captures the over 75-kg title with a 285-kg total after lifting a world record 160.5 kg in the clean and jerk in the women's heavyweight division at the Asian weightlifting championships at Osaka's Nagai stadium gymnasium on May 6. In the over 75-kg, Taiwanese Chen Hsiao-lien was a distant second behind Ding with 257.5-kg, followed by Tang Weifang of China in third with 250 kg.
