Spain: Fighter Jet Performs Emergency Maneuver at Gijón Airshow to Avoid Birds

A Spanish Air Force EF-18 Hornet nearly crashed during an airshow at San Lorenzo Bay in Gijón, on Sunday, July 27. The jet, flying low toward a crowded beach, suddenly performed a hard right roll and dipped dangerously low, alarming spectators. However, it quickly regained control. The Spanish Air Force later explained that the maneuver was an emergency response to a flock of birds in the jet’s path.
