Magazine on 'rakugo' comic storytelling marks 35th anniversary

The hundred-step Otokozaka slope at Mt. Atago

The Otokozaka on the steep slope in front of the east side of Atago shrine. It is written 100 steps, but actually it only has 86 steps. The present slope is that of 1966 after the second world war. It is famous for the Kodan and Rokyoku Kanei Sanbajutsu. The hundred-step Otokozaka slope at Mt. Atago

Otokozaka is a steep slope on the eastern side of Atago Shrine. It is said to have 100 steps, but there are actually only 86 steps. The present slope was constructed in 1966. It is famous in the Kodan and Rokyoku Kanei Sanbajutsu . Onnazaka is the moderate slope to the right. Rickshaws are seen under the pillar of the torii.==Date:unknown, Place:Tokyo, Photo:F.
