The lunar mission is set to be launched later this month. This would be India's third lunar mission and the second attempt at soft-landing equipment on Moon's surface. The last lunar mission, launched in July 2019, failed as communication from the Lander to the ground stations was lost. The integration between the spacecraft and the launch vehicle was done at the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh.
