The annual Christmas tree lighting was held at the Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park in New York City on Tuesday, December 2.

Taiwan: Power Outage Hits Songshan Airport and Zhongshan District

On Monday, December 1, sudden power outages struck Songshan Airport and parts of Zhongshan District in Taipei. At the airport, the international terminal lost power at 1:36 PM, but backup generators kept check-in and customs operations running. Some escalators and VIP lounge lighting were briefly affected. Taipower confirmed a disconnected feeder line caused the outage, which was fully restored by 2:48 PM. No flights were disrupted. In Zhongshan District, residents experienced both power and internet outages, affecting 4,698 users. Social media users shared reactions highlighting the sudden disruption and inconvenience.
