France: Southern Towns Flooded as Severe Storms Hit

Heavy storms hit southern France on Sunday, September 21, causing flooding in Marseille, Cassis, and surrounding towns. Major sports events, including the OM-PSG football match and a Toulon-La Rochelle rugby game, were postponed. Thousands of households lost power, and flights at Marseille-Provence Airport were disrupted. Météo-France reported intense rainfall, with up to 127 mm in Avignon and 94 mm in Toulon in just one hour.
