Strong Solar Storm Produces Northern Lights 2

An unusually strong solar storm produced northern lights in Europe and the U.S. this weekend. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration issued a rare severe geomagnetic storm warning on Friday, May 10, when a solar outburst reached Earth.
