China: Quick-Thinking Bystanders Save Child From Reservoir in Ningbo

On April 19, 2026, in Ningbo, Zhejiang, a video captured a tense rescue after a child accidentally fell into a reservoir about two meters deep near a restaurant. Several people quickly gathered around the reservoir, with some lying flat on the ground and reaching down while others coordinated efforts to pull the child out. Their swift and instinctive response created a chain of support, as bystanders worked together to secure the child and lift them safely back to the surface. The video ended with the child being successfully rescued and brought to safety, surrounded by relieved onlookers.
