Museum to display Lennon's lyrical notes

SAITAMA, Japan - Music legend John Lennon's lyric drafts (L, below) will be displayed at the John Lennon Museum in Saitama City from May 30 in an exhibit coinciding with the 35th anniversary of the November 1968 release of the Beatles' first self-titled record known as ''White Album.'' Yoko Ono sends message of peace with help from Lennon

NEW YORK, United States - The Sept. 25 edition of the New York Times carries a full-page advertisement paid for by Yoko Ono, which says ''Imagine all the people living life in peace,'' a lyric composed by her late husband, John Lennon. Asked why the advertisement was published anonymously, her spokesman said Ono felt the message would be more effective if she did not place her name in the ad.

John Lennon Museum to open Oct. 9

YONO, Japan - What is touted as the world's first museum dedicated to the musician John Lennon is shown to members of the media Oct. 5 prior to the formal opening on Oct. 9, the 60th anniversary of the birth of the singer-songwriter. The John Lennon Museum in Yono, north of Tokyo, will exhibit about 130 items of Lennon memorabilia, including his guitars, costumes, lyric notebooks and pictures of him with his second wife, Yoko Ono, and their son Sean.
