Dollar hits 6-year high at mid-108 yen

TOKYO, Japan - A bulletin board at money broker Gaitame.com Co. in Tokyo shows the U.S. dollar trading at a six-year high around the mid-108 yen level in the early morning on Sept. 18, 2014. Currency dealers said the dollar's rise was fueled by speculation that the U.S. Federal Reserve is in preparation to raise interest rates.
