Nikkei tops 17,000 1st time in 7 yrs

TOKYO, Japan - A bulletin board at a Tokyo financial institution shows on Nov. 4, 2014, the Nikkei stock index topping the 17,000 threshold for the first time since mid-October 2007, boosted by a firmer U.S. dollar that remained in the upper 113 yen zone.
