Ceasefire First Anniversary Protest - Yerevan

The National Democratic Alliance, also known as Bever holds a gathering followed by a torch march to the Russian embassy in the capital of Yerevan, Armenia on September 20, 2024. The march marks one year since the ceasefire was agreed upon ending Azerbaijan military offensive on Nagorno-Karabakh, also known as Artsakh that began a day prior and was followed by the displacement of over 100,000 Armenians from their homeland. The march also aimed to draw attention to the issue regarding the Zangezur Corridor, a transport route that Azerbaijan has continuously called to establish linking mainland Azerbaijan with the exclave of Nakhichevan. This issue has become a topic of debate between Iran and Russia where Iran does not support any changes related to its border with Armenia. Nearly 200,000 people are being evacuated following one of the largest Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory, Russian officials said Wednesday. The overnight strikes marked the biggest combined attack on Russia's air force infrastructure since the start of the full-scale war, with three Russian military airfields targeted. A state of emergency has been declared in the Belgorod region due to "daily Ukrainian attacks," Belgorod Gov. Vyacheslav Gladkov said Wednesday morning. Nanyang Pyrography, a traditional Chinese art originated from the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-25 AD), has a history of over 2,000 years. The craft, using tools with high temperature to draw patterns on carbonizable materials, creates visual effects resembling traditional Chinese paintings. It was listed as a national-level intangible cultural heritage in 2021. Li Zhe, 54, is a provincial-level inheritor of Nanyang Pyrography. Having being engaged in the profession for 30 plus years, Li first used iron needle grilled by oil lamp to form patterns on chopsticks and rulers, which made it a difficult task to finish a high-quality pyrography as the temperature of the iron needle was hard to control. With the electric soldering iron replacing the old one, the quality and efficiency of the craftwork are greatly improved. "The

The making craft of dragon and phoenix candles, a pair of candles with a dragon figure on one candle and a phoenix of the other, is an intangible cultural heritage of Chongqing Municipality.
