Palestinian Family Endures Repeated Displacement - West Bank

Suleiman Khaled Mleihat, 64, stands beside a wooden frame intended to become part of a shelter in a newly established encampment in Ras Ein Al-Auja, West Bank, on November 28, 2025. The Mleihat family, repeatedly displaced since the Nakba, was forced to leave the nearby Al-Awsaj community after renewed pressure and incursions. Their expulsion is part of a wider pattern in the Jordan Valley, where more than one hundred Palestinian Bedouin communities have been uprooted in recent years. China: Lightning Strikes Through Rainbow as Sunset Paints Sky in Inner Mongolia

This is the stunning moment that a rare mix of lightning and rainbow lit up the sky, capturing a breathtaking scene that also featured sunset and colorful clouds. On May 11, 2025, in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, the video showed a rare atmospheric phenomenon where a bolt of lightning slashed through the sky as a vivid rainbow arched across the horizon. As the sun began to set, casting an orange hue over the clouds, onlookers were treated to a mesmerizing display where multiple natural elements, lightning, rainbow, sunset, and painted clouds, had converged in one frame. The lightning bolt flashed dramatically across the sky just beneath the arc of the rainbow, creating a moment of natural beauty that was rarely seen together. The video ended with the lightning fading into the distance as the rainbow slowly dissolved into the dusky sky.

China: Electric Tricycle Pushed By Winds, Runs Off On Its Own During Rainstorm

On August 7, 2024, a comical scene was captured in Xian, Shaanxi Province, central China, when a sudden rainstorm descended. Amidst a cloudy backdrop, heavy rain hits the ground and splashes a dense mist of water, while a gusty wind blows the trees along the roadside to one side. During the storm, a tricycle parked outside the house of the filmer's grandfather appears abruptly in the video frame, driven by the wind and rain to slink down the slope and complete a comical escape by itself.

(240607) -- HEFEI, June 7, 2024 Photo by Xinhua/ABACAPRESS.COM) -- Ding Ding writes the "Pine Diary" at the Huangshan Mountain scenic area in east China's Anhui Province, June 4, 2024. The Guest-Greeting Pine is a famous landmark on Huangshan Mountain. The 10-meter-tall pine, whose roots sprang from the rocks on the UNESCO world heritage site, stands at an altitude of more than 1,600 meters. Its most recognizable feature is a long branch extending like an outstretched arm in a welcoming gesture. In the 1980s, a post to oversee the Guest-Greeting Pine was created, responsible for the daily care and observation of the remarkable millenary tree. In 2016, Ding Ding became one of the guardians of the Guest-Greeting Pine, assisting Hu Xiaochun, the 19th guardian of the pine. They are not only colleagues, but also mentor and apprentice. Everyday, Ding Ding started the patrol at 6:30 in the morning and conducted it every two hours, observing subtle changes in branches, leaves and bark, as well as the supporting frame

Bats are hanging on tree branch in the day light in the Sylhet, of Bangladesh. Bats are accused for Nipah virus infection is a newly emerging zoonotic disease that spreads from animal to human. The fruit bats are the one of the carriers of Nipah virus which gets transmitted from bats to other animals mainly through body fluids. In 2018 the outbreak of Nipah in Kerala state of India claimed 17 lives. It has indeed opened Pandora ’s Box exposing the role of general public, health department and social media and so on. The early detection and the well-oiled medical infrastructure in the state did wonders. Though social media have been accused of spreading misinformation leading to culling of bats, the people of Kerala responded with positive frame of mind. Prompt and synchronized efforts of all stakeholders like health workers, state government, scientists, researchers and central government led to timely and successful control of Nipah virus cases in Kerala.
