China: Delivery Rider Surfs Through Flooded Streets Bouncing on Scooter in Zhengzhou

This impressive video was filmed in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, on May 16, 2026. After a heavy downpour overwhelmed the city’s drainage system, streets were submerged under dozens of centimeters of water, bringing traffic to a standstill. One fearless delivery rider refused to let the flood stop him. Standing with both feet on the scooter seat, he grips the brakes and throttle tightly. The scooter glides like a tiny motorboat through the water, while he bounces forward like a frog, bravely delivering packages in the flooded streets.

Hickham AFB, HI - (FILE) -- United States President Richard M. Nixon, right center, and the Apollo 13 crew salute U.S. flag during the post-mission ceremonies at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii. Earlier, the astronauts John Swigert, right, Jim Lovell, left center, and Fred W. Haise, left, were presented the Presidential Medal of Freedom by the Chief Executive. Apollo 13, launched on April 11, 1970, was NASA's third manned mission to the moon. Two days later on April 13 while the mission was en route to the moon, a fault in the electrical system of one of the Service Module's oxygen tanks produced an explosion that caused both oxygen tanks to fail and also led to a loss of electrical power. The command module remained functional on its own batteries and oxygen tank, but these were usable only during the last hours of the mission. The crew shut down the Command Module and used the Lunar Module as a "lifeboat" during the return trip to earth. Despite great hardship caused by limited power, loss of cabin heat, and

Nomadic Life in Inner Mongolia's Horqin Grassland - China

Saintsogt (R) talks with other herdsmen on their way to the summer campsite on Ar Horqin Grassland, Chifeng City of north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, June 13, 2025. Saintsogt, 55, a herdsman in Bayin-undur of Ar Horqin Banner, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is busy with the annual summer migration covering a distance of about 100 kilometers. For the past four decades, he has completed the migration every year. Saintsogt's pasture is a part of the Ar Horqin Grassland Nomadic System, which was listed as one of the Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) sites by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) on May 20, 2022. Herders here still keep the traditional nomadic customs today. "The travel time has been shortened to three days from eight," Saintsogt said. "The rain makes pasture grow better, and the livestock have enough forage." This year, herders from more than 1,200 households and 128,000 livestock in Bayin-undur joined the migration. Photo
