Earlier in the day, the department store bought them for two million yen, the highest record, at a local wholesale food market as the first bidding of the season for the Yubari melons began.

TOKYO, Japan - Cornes and Co., Japan's agent for Italia's Ferrari, will begin selling Ferrari's one-million-yen bicycles in Japan on March 8. The Ferrari CF3 road cycle model (photo) was jointly developed by Ferrari and Colnago, an Italian racing bicycle maker. Cornes aims to sell 50 units of the bicycle, which is all hand-made.
