On November 5, 2025, tens of thousands gathered in Lewes, East Sussex, for Britain’s largest Bonfire Night celebration, featuring parades, effigies, and fireworks. The event commemorates Guy Fawkes’ Gunpowder Plot and 17 Protestant martyrs executed in the town during Mary I’s reign.
