University of Electro-Communications and Obayashi Corporation's diagnostic device for correcting blurred images

Associate Professor Norihiro Koizumi of the University of Electro-Communications and Obayashi Corporation (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo) have developed a device that uses artificial intelligence (AI) and robotic technology to correct blurring caused by the movement of organs and assist in taking clear images using ultrasound. It is expected that Obayashi Corporation will start selling this device in April 2022 at a price of tens of millions of yen, for use as a supplement to ultrasound diagnostic equipment. In the future, it is envisioned that cancer treatment using radiation or heavy particle beams will be carried out while observing in real time. It is expected that by obtaining images that pinpoint the location of organs, the beam can be accurately irradiated to the affected area. This photo captures a scene with a woman on a rickshaw feeding deer. It is hard to pinpoint the exact location, but it is probably the shrine approach of Kasuga Taisha, as stone lanterns are in the background. The woman is wearing kimono, Japanes-style chignon, and is holding a parasol. The rickshaw man is wearing zori sandals and a hat. Deer on the approach to Kasuga Shrine

Although the title of the photo says 'Deer at Nara Park', this photo was actually taken at the shrine approach of Kasuga Taisha capturing seven deer. A male deer in the centre and female deer surround it. Despite the fact that there are not specific objects to pinpoint the exact location, since there are no stone lanterns and the way the shoulders of the road looks like, it is assumed to have been taken about 550m east of Ichino-torii Gate when facing east.==Date:unknown, Place:Nara, Photo:R.
