Israelis learning to play traditional Chinese musical instruments STORYLINE: In a busy area in the central Israeli city of Tel Aviv, an exotic street concert organized by Chinese students and scholars on Friday attracted many locals to stop by and enjoy. The playlist included many household traditional Chinese musical pieces played by Guzheng, Pipa and flutes, winning rounds of applause from the audience. Some Israeli people tried to learn the playing methods of Guzheng and Pipa at the scene to feel the charm of Chinese culture up close. At present, there are more than 600 Chinese students and scholars in Israeli universities and scientific research institutions, distributed in such cities as Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Rehovot.
