China: Parrot Pranks Companion by Toppling Perch in Zhejiang

On September 29, 2025, in Zhejiang, a pet owner captured a humorous moment between two parrots. The blue parrot’s perch was slightly unstable, with one end hanging over the edge of the stand. Without warning, the yellow parrot leaned down and used its beak to bite off the hook holding the blue parrot’s perch.

Couple dies after falling into pit dug for birthday prank

KAHOKU, Japan - Police investigators on Aug. 28, 2011, probe the site where a 23-year-old man and his wife, also 23, died the previous night after falling into a pit that she and her friends dug as a birthday surprise for the husband on the beach in Kahoku in Ishikawa Prefecture. Hiroki Demura and his wife Risa died of suffocation from being buried with sand after accidentally falling into the pit -- some 2.4 meters in width and 2.5 meters in depth -- together.
