Ireland: Long Queues at Petrol Stations Across Country as Fuel Protests Continue

Fuel shortages spread across parts of Ireland on Thursday, April 9, as nationwide protests entered their third day, blocking access to key supply terminals including the country's only oil refinery. Long queues formed at filling stations across multiple regions, with some running out of petrol and diesel entirely. Some stations began limiting purchases as panic buying compounded the crisis triggered by rising fuel costs.

A fire broke out at a storage yard for materials and scrapped vehicles in Bando City, Ibaraki, on Thursday, April 9, sending massive plumes of black smoke into the sky.
