Rhodes set to re-sign with Kintetsu

OSAKA, Japan - Kintetsu Buffaloes outfielder Tuffy Rhodes (in file photo), who tied the single-season record of 55 home runs in 2001, has reached a basic agreement on a new contract with the Pacific League club. Minoru Ichihara, a Kintetsu official in charge of international affairs, said Dec. 25 he will travel to the United States in early January to iron out details on the deal estimated at $4 million over two years.
