THE ROOMS EXHIBIT AN IMPRESSIVE COLLECTION OF ORNAMENTS, CHALICES, CROSSES, CAMEOS REPRESENTING THE POPES FROM ST. PETER, AND RELIQUARIES (THE ORIGINAL TREASURY WAS LOOTED DURING THE REVOLUTION). HERE, THE FIRST RELIQUARY OF THE HOLY CROWN OF THORNS, WITH GILDED COPPER AND GOLD GROUND, WAS MADE IN 1806 BY GOLDSMITH CHARLES CAHIER.
