The short track speed skating as a Winter Olympic event has seen a burgeoning popularity among ordinary people, attracting more and more people to ice and snow sports. In recent years, endeavor has been made to promote winter sports among the populace in Shijingshan District of Beijing. In that spirit, Shijingshan District Short Track Speed Skating Team was formed.
