Maintenance Performance On Aircraft - China

Staff members of the Grand China Aviation Maintenance Co., Ltd. under the HNA Technic perform maintenance on an aircraft at the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP) One-Stop Aircraft Maintenance Base in Haikou, south China's Hainan Province, on Nov. 21, 2025. The Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP) One-Stop Aircraft Maintenance Base, which started operation in 2022, has performed maintenance service on more than 2,400 aircraft, completed full-body painting for over 280 aircraft, and repaired about 60,000 aircraft components as of the end of October this year. The maintenance base has drawn global clients like Qatar Airways, Royal Air Philippines and Iberia. Under the Hainan FTP's favorable regulations, aircraft entering the region for maintenance are exempt from paying security deposits, and parts imported for repair benefit from a bonded status. The policy support is expected to be amplified following the FTP's official launch of island-wide independent customs operations on Dec. 18. Photo by Zhang Liyun/Xinhua/ABACAPRESS.

Finnish Telecom Company Hit By Cable Outage

Handout undated photo - Finnish cable company Global Connect announced its services were disrupted as a result of two cable breaks on an internet line between Sweden and Finland. “Major outage in Finland caused by separate incidents in our network, no sea cables are affected,” the company first reported Monday evening, adding that technicians were on their way to locate the source of the issues.
