Ueno Technica has developed a handling device for industrial robotsthat can pick up and grasp workpieces with a single unit. It is expected to be used for picking parts in bulk, and the two functions can be used separately according to the weight and size of the workpiece. The company is looking for needs mainly in the automotive industry and aims to put it to practical use as soon as possible. Normally, the pad sticks out at the tip and the fingers are folded. When the finger is used, it is extended and moved toward the tip, and the pad is moved by the linear motion mechanism and stored at the top. The company is a group company of Hirotec Corporation (Saeki Ward, Hiroshima City), which is engaged in the design and manufacture of automotive parts, and will exhibit at the International Robot Exhibition to be held at Tokyo Big Sight from April 18.
