The Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba dawns with security measures after the fire occurred last August 8, 2025, on August 9, 2025 in Cordoba (Andalusia, Spain). Firefighters have managed to completely extinguish the fire declared this Friday after 9 pm in a side chapel and on the roof of the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba. The mayor has recognized "damages" suffered in some wooden vaults that were "recently restored" but assures that "a catastrophe" has been avoided and the monument "is safe".
